The Mexico City Taco Fair returns this week after two years canceled due to COVID-19

After a long wait since its last edition in 2020, which was caused by the health emergency caused by Covid-19, the Taco Fair returns to CDMX.

This seventh installment of the fair will take place on the esplanade in Tlalpan, to the south of the city, and will bring together taco vendors and a knowledgeable public that will attend to taste the flagship dish of Mexican cuisine on June 17, 18, and19. This is a family-friendly event and admission is free.

Within the Taco Fair 2022, you can find the most classic tacos, from pastor, suadero, cabeza, bistec, and campechanos. Undoubtedly, there will be more exotic ones, because, in previous editions, intrepid chefs who offer venison, crocodile, or tacos with insects have been able to stand out among the exhibitors.

The best companion to a taco is salsa, therefore, we invite you to try the great variety that each vendor will offer, as it is a great showcase for their creativity, and rest assured, more than one will surprise you.

Although the tacos are the main dish, the Mexican snacks will be necessary, in case after so many tacos, you are looking for something different. There will be a wide variety of drinks and even desserts, to end the feast with a sweet bite.

The taco was born in Mexican homes and later moved to the streets, and today, it is possible to find the most refined versions in award-winning restaurants worldwide.

It doesn’t matter if you prefer the basket ones or the barbecue ones for your morning taco, the carnitas, steak and dorado ones for lunch, and the pastor and suadero ones to end a good night, at the Fair of Taco 2022, you will surely find your ideal taco.
